Mixed Age classes offer an opportunity for children to participate at their own level, while the adults (no matter what their level of musical ability) and older children provide models for ways of music-making they might want to try another time. Everyone in a mixed age class benefits by experiencing the music-making of those around them – some terrific teaching ideas come from very young children, who have a special originality and spontaneity in their approach to music.

This is an exciting, high energy class that blends African drumming with exercise, singing, and drumming-based games. Students have a djembe to use during class as they learn cool rhythms, concentrate, cooperate, and have a culturally diverse musical experience. Plus, it is so much fun! Ages 5-10.

This class combines the excitement of African drumming with age-appropriate musical fun for 3-5 year olds with a parent or caregiver. Ask about including older siblings as active participants; younger siblings are welcome too. We will sing, dance, drum, and play!

All the fun of Rhythm Kids, for children ages 4-6. In this drop-off class children enjoy learning hand drumming on a djembe, along with movement, singing, and rhythm-based games. What a blast!
